How Resource Navigation works
More than a bill paid once.
Crisis in families can come in many shapes, sizes and levels. Not only can we help pay a bill or provide a security deposit — we can also guide you to other people and groups who can help. And just as importantly, our support services coordinators (coaches) can walk the path with you.

How do I get emergency financial assistance in Winchester, VA or Frederick County?
Start by completing our intake form to see if you qualify. One of our intake specialists will be in touch.
What is Resource Navigation?
It's where our team works to really understand your situation — not just right now, but as a whole. They'll then set up referrals for you to meet with partners who can provide more help where you need it.
Does Faithworks help with rent, utilities, or both?
Yes, if you qualify and subject to Faithworks available funding. We often have funding to help with security deposits, utilities, and even car repairs or other unexpected bills.
Can Faithworks find me a home to live in?
We will try to help, but Faithworks does not currently own any properties.
Can Faithworks find me a place to stay, even for a few days?
That is one of the areas Faithworks often has funding to support. It may be a couple of nights in a hotel — but that's better than living in your car.
Is there a limit to the help Faithworks can provide through Pathways?
Yes. Participants are limited to one instance of financial support annually; however, ongoing resource navigation and support services coordination (coach) is available. All assistance is first come, first served and subject to qualification, funding and availability of resources. We also partner with several other nonprofits to support the needs of our community.
