Looking Back with Gratitude and Forward with Faith

Some of Faithworks’ most important stories cannot be fully captured through dates, numbers or annual reports.

They are carried by the people who remember the early conversations, the challenges encountered along the way and the moments when faith called the organization to keep moving forward.

As part of Faithworks’ 25th anniversary, Bob Bolter, Program Director Sandi Webster and President Rob Seidel sat down for a filmed conversation about the organization’s past, present and future.

Their discussion explored more than Faithworks’ history. It reflected on the people, relationships and faithful decisions that helped shape its mission.

Remembering the People Behind the Work

For 25 years, Faithworks has served communities throughout Winchester, Virginia, and the surrounding region.

That work has been shaped by people who recognized needs and chose to respond. They gave their time, leadership, prayers, professional experience and financial support because they believed faith should lead to meaningful action.

Looking back allows Faithworks to honor those contributions.

It also preserves the lessons, experiences and stories that may never appear in an official report. Those personal memories help explain not only what Faithworks has accomplished, but why the work has always mattered.

Understanding the Past Helps Shape the Future

Organizational history is not simply a record of what has already happened.

It provides a foundation for making thoughtful decisions about what comes next.

During their conversation, Bob, Sandi and Rob reflected on the different seasons Faithworks has experienced and the relationships that helped the organization continue serving through periods of growth and change.

Those lessons remain relevant as Faithworks strengthens its work through three primary areas of service:

  • Accessibility Modifications, helping people remain safely in their homes

  • The Pathways Program, connecting individuals and families with emergency assistance, resource navigation and ongoing support

  • Community Development Consulting, helping churches and community organizations explore opportunities for affordable housing

Each area represents a distinct community need, but all three are connected by the same commitment to serve people with dignity and put faith into action.

Carrying the Mission Into Its Next Chapter

Faithworks’ 25th anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate, but it is also an invitation to look forward.

There are still families seeking stability, individuals who need safer homes and faith communities searching for meaningful ways to use their land and resources.

The work ahead will require the same qualities that carried Faithworks through its first 25 years: faith, perseverance, trusted partnerships and people willing to serve.

The conversation between Bob, Sandi and Rob captures an important moment in the life of Faithworks.

It honors the people and decisions that brought the organization here while recognizing that its story is still being written.

Faithworks enters its next chapter with gratitude for its history, confidence in its mission and faith in where God is leading.
